Fund for Teachers

The Fund for Teachers is a program that encourages and funds summer learning experiences for Red Wing teachers. Fund for Teachers enriches the professional growth of teachers as they identify and pursue opportunities around the globe that will have the greatest impact on their practice, the academic lives of their students and on their school communities.

Who pays? 
Fund for Teachers Fellowships grants come from private funders  which are separate from the Red Wing Public Schools Foundation endowment. The RWPSF administers Fund for Teachers program but does not pay for the fellowships. Fellowships up to 3,000 dollars may be granted each year.

Who can get a fellowship (Fund for Teachers Grant)?
A Fund for Teachers Fellowship is open to any pre-K through 12th grade full time teacher in the Red Wing School District; the applicant much spend at least fifty percent of their time in a classroom setting and have the intention of returning to their school/district following their summer travel. Applicants must have at least 3 years of teaching experience in the Red Wing School District.

How is the Fund for Teachers Fellowship winner selected?
Fund for Teachers Fellows are selected based on each proposal's merit, the potential for teachers growth and rejuvenation, as well as student, classroom and school impact. The selection committee consists of Red Wing community members.
